The fourth quarter of 2008 saw 102,000 subscribers leave Dish Networks, the largest loss for the company since its inception. This news led to a 10% drop in Dish’s stock on Monday. This year will likely bring more losses to Dish Network, because of the termination of their partnership with AT&T this past February.
Dish also announced some gains, namely a 1% increase in revenue, bringing them to $2.92 billion. And compared to the net income of $175 million a year ago, their current income of $216.6 million is a respectable jump. Dish Networks currently has 13.68 million subscribers to its services. |
