The call centers set up to answer questions about the DTV transition received 28,315 calls on Tuesday, the former date of the transition.  This number is well within the capacity of the call centers, but it does not accurately reflect the projected number of people who will have questions and need help regarding the 421 stations that turned off their analog broadcasts at midnight on Tuesday.

The call centers are well-equipped to handle this volume, and most calls have been answered right away.   By Tuesday at midnight, 641 stations made the transition from analog to digital broadcasting, with 220 stations making the switch before the previous February 17th deadline and 421 making the switch after.
