Ambrid has announced an upgraded, voice-controlled universal remote for use in high-end home theaters or home automation control. This remote will be able to control an unlimited number of external devices, and does not require pre-programmed voice recognition.  Any user can simply speak and command.

It is able to control all functions of a device, such as “show subtitles” or “menu”, and users can use a variety of voice commands to perform a particular function.  In order to watch the news on TV, for instance, a user could say the number, station name, or a specifically programmed operation like “watch the news”, which would all change to the same channel.

The Ambrid voice-operated remote also automatically knows all music, playlists, artists and albums in a media player, and can display the library or particular songs as they are playing.

Ambrid is easy to install and integrate with home audio, visual and automation devices, and connects remotely via the internet for upgrades.
This voice-controlled remote retails at a suggested price of $1980, and is available through custom installers.
