Russound is upgrading its product offerings with a new C-Series system that will improve upon the features and interface of its predecessors.  The C-Series will offer an MDK-C5 in-wall keypad ($349) as well as an MCA-C5 multizone controller/amplifier ($3,500).

The MCA-C5 features a 12x40-watt digital amp and AM/FM tuner.  It is able to connect to 8 stereo sources and 8 zones, with the use of an outboard 4-channel amp.  Zone linking allows several zones to be connected via one (or more) keypads, and Source Linking allows these zones to share the same source but regaining independent control of the volume and on/off functions.

The MDK-C5 features an LCD keypad that displays the metadata from all sources.  There are new goodies incorporated into the keypad as well, such as the system clock, sleep timer, zone alarms and paging capabilities.
