In these economic times, the high cost of our beloved home theater gear is too much to risk when it comes to the chance of a power outage.  Panamax may be the answer to safeguard your electronics.  Panamax has recently introduced the MB1000 uninterruptable power supply.

Obviously, a battery backup system will protect your vital components from improper shutdown during a power outage, particularly the lamps in rear-projection HDTVs.  On top of its UPS system, the MB1000 also employs the Automatic Voltage Regulation system to safeguard your equipment during voltage sags.

An RS232 port is included to provide connection and communication between the UPS and home automation system.  The MB1000 features eight battery-powered, surge protected and AVR outlets, four of which are critical-load outlets and four that are non-critical-load outlets.

There is no word on the Watts load rating of the unit, but it retails for $729.95.
