The CCM816 is a two-way speaker that has a woven Kevlar driver for the bas and midrange.  While normally Kevlar cones appear yellow when coming from B&W, these in-ceiling speakers have a blue color to make them less attention oriented.  The driver measures 6.5 inches, which is more compact than the CCM818’s 8-inch driver.

The tweeter is 1-inch in diameter and is made from tube-loaded aluminum.  Both of the drivers are set at a 28-degree angle while still remaining flush in the ceiling.  The CCM816 will be available in February 09 for a suggested retail of $600 each.
