Samsung Mass Producing Largest and Largest Outdoor LCD Panel Display

You better sit down for this one. Samsung has announced that they are entering the mass production phase of the brightest LCD Panel. The LCD panel measures 70 inches, with a 200,000:1 contrast ratio. In addition it sports a 2000 cd/m2 brightness rating. To top it all off it is of course a 1080p display panel.

It already grabbed a CES Innovation Award earlier. The display is meant for outdoor advertisements and viewing. It uses an amplified LED backlighting dimming technology to achieve its brightness. Release of the display is expected earlier next year. Get your shades ready.

70" the biggest that Samsung produces for out door? What is the lifespan of
the outdoor unit in ALL weather conditions?
