Silicon Image is changing the way HDTV owners switch between high definition content via HDMI.  Their Instaport Technology is designed into the HDTV and significantly reduces the time spent waiting for a picture to appear.  As the amount of HD capable devices grows throughout the next five years, faster port switching is going to become a greater concern.

How often does this really effect you? It's not like you're wasting hours a week
with this. It's probably not worth that additional coin.
