After
a failed experiment touring with Diamond David Lee Roth this summer,
former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar and longtime VH bassist Michael
Anthony have joined forces with Journey guitarist Neal Schon and
drummer Deen Castronovo to form a new super group called Planet Us.
This is according to a report on ArrowFM.com.
The
band is working on a studio album that will reportedly be done early in
2003. sources close to AudioRevolution.com say that a David Lee Roth
Van Halen record has been at least partially recorded but David Lee
Roth’s recent lawsuit, Eddie Van Halen’s health problems and the fact
that Van Halen no longer has a record deal with Warner Brothers squash
hope of that release any time soon.
Perhaps a good
summer tour would be Planet Us along with AudioSlave – a band made up
of former Soundgarden front man Chris Cornell and the members of Rage
Against The Machine.
