Under the pseudonym “The Other Ones” The Grateful Dead reunited this weekend in Wisconsin for the first time since the death of guitarist and pop icon, Jerry Garcia, in 1995. The Other Ones, said according to printed reports, that they had contingent plans for a 15 city fall tour if all went well. All did and the tour is on but dates have yet to be announced.

The Grateful Dead, despite their many outspoken critics, are one of the highest grossing live acts in rock and roll history. No band has had such a dedicated following who are affectionately known as “Deadheads” and are willing to follow the band on tour for as long as years on end. Ironically, a large portion of the fan base don’t come to the shows for the music as much as they are interested in the, how should I say it, party favors. Some true music and recording enthusiasts follow The Dead in order to take advantage of their liberal policies on recording the band live. Nonetheless, fans say you can’t diss The Dead until you have been to a show. Now you have a chance.
