OK, what you need to understand about this record is that everything on the Westside is much better than the Eastside. Upon thinking in-depth about this topic I have become perplexed. I mean I live on the Westside of LA so that's good right? Well yes, unless you live in Santa Monica (near the beach) which means I live on the Eastside which isn't as good. In fact its really quite bad according to the Connection. It get even more complicated. Is it good to live in New York or Philadelphia in that those cities are on the Westside of Paris and London? I guess this whole Westside thing is up for interpretation.

The Westside Connection is a rap trio comprised of the multi-platinum rap veteran, Ice Cube, Mack 10 and less famous W.C. The record has two hits on it in "Gangsters Make The World Go Round" and "Bow Down". The rest of the record is less inventive and much more pissed off. If you are into hard core Westcoast rap this record is for you. It fits well in with your Dre and Ice Cube solo records. Sonically, it is exactly what you would expect from a rap record, boomy mid bass and lots of samples.
