Aston Martin, Linn Partner On Car Audio System for New V12 Vanquish

Much like the Mark Levinson and Lexus partnership in 2001, Aston Martin and Linn have announced that they will work together in a new partnership that will result in a unique audio system being offered on the V12 Vanquish.

The V12 Vanquish is the most technologically advanced Aston Martin ever built boasting an array of features and materials that make this one of the world’s greatest super cars. In line with this new direction, Aston Martin has tried to ensure that it retains the personal approach to its customers allowing them to choose some of the finest materials and options available for their cars.

Therefore Aston Martin and Linn Products are currently working on developing a system specifically for Vanquish customers.

Dr Ulrich Bez, Aston Martin’s CEO, said: “We spent some considerable time trying to find the correct audio partner for Aston Martin. Linn audio systems are regarded as the finest available today. Furthermore, Linn has a similar approach towards its customers, wanting to provide the best quality product available.”

Linn 12.1 Amplification and Loudspeaker System

The Vanquish audio system is conceived and specified to deliver superb audio performance with the control, ease and seductive sound quality of a top performing Linn system that a Vanquish owner expects. The Vanquish head unit, CD changer, navigation system and phone system are seamlessly connected to the Linn audio components. Twelve 75 watt per channel amplifiers drive twelve loudspeakers strategically positioned throughout the vehicle’s interior, integrated with extra powerful amplification supporting the bass reinforcement channel. The active servo bass system uses an accelerometer to provide the correct feedback required for pitch accurate performance down to the lowest frequencies. All the compact amplification components have comprehensive protection circuitry and thermal and electrical cut-offs, and all of the advanced circuitry is housed in a single rugged module integrated into the vehicle.

The loudspeaker system is precision engineered to complement acoustically and aesthetically the unique interior, style and feel of the Vanquish and enhance any journey or recreational stop.
