Hunter and Parker have teamed up to produce a truly enjoyable jazz instrumental album. The album opens with an entrancing, powerful cut "Mean Streak." This latin influenced piece draws you in with a powerful beat that will get you moving to the beat. The rest of the album mixes a variety of tempos from slow and mellow to upbeat and powerful.

Hunter demonstrates his mastery of the eight string guitar throughout the album, any of the tracks will astonish you with his skill with this unique instrument. Parker does not disappoint either, it is great skills as a percussionist that keeps the beat alive, both in your ears and in your soul. With these two masters together you have a gripping and involving duo. From the slow paced "Don’t talk" to the upbeat "The Spin Seekers" the jazz lover will find himself enjoying every minute. The album ends with a island inspired upbeat piece, "Calypso For Grandpa."

The sonics are well above average on this album. Great care has gone into the recording and it shows. The timbre of the instruments is full and natural. The soundstaging, imaging, the "air" around the instruments are all there and should keep most audiophiles happy.
