If you have absolutely no idea who Sarah Brightman is, you simply haven’t been spending enough time in the world of musical theater. That is either entirely unacceptable or entirely understandable depending on who you are. However, no matter which side of the fence you fall on, ‘Eden’ is an album that can be easily appreciated by every one from Audiophile to rank and file. Brightman is perhaps best known for her marrage to Andrew Lloyd Webber and her work in the musical ‘Cats,’ but she has also done tours of duty with both Andrea Bocelli and Michael Crawford.

Here, in an amazing display of her superior vocal talent, Brightman sings in Latin, Italian, French, and English and shifts styles as easily as language. From "Dust In The Wind," through Puccini’s "Nessun Dorma" to the Italian version of "My Heart Will Go On," Brightman lends her voice to the music of the globe and sparkles. This album is a bit opera, a bit Adult Contemporary, all vocal, and well worth the price of admission. It’s sonics are nearly as flawless as Brightman’s soprano and we recommend ‘Eden’ without reservation.
