Since most of the jokes have passed, it seems an appropriate time to relay that this is probably the best album George Michael has ever put out. Yes, it is a greatest hits album, but rarely, if ever, does that guarantee the buyer a good record. The reasons this two-disc set is ‘must own’ for virtually all of Michael’s fans lie in its content, its structure, and its recording quality.

First, there are twenty-eight songs on this album (fourteen on each disc). Every hit Michael had is included, other than the ones from his days in WHAM!, and his latest European hit single "Outside." Second, the discs are divided appropriately. Including classic radio cuts such as "Careless Whisper" and hard to find tracks like "Desafinado" (from the AIDS awareness project ‘Red, Hot, and Rio’) Disc One, subtitled ‘For The Heart,’ contains Michael’s ballad-esque love songs while Disc Two (‘For The Feet’) is comprised mainly of up-tempo dance tracks.

Looking back, George Michael has had an impressive career including duets with legends such as Elton John, Aretha Franklin, and Queen. Thankfully, the recording quality of these discs lives up to their contents by also being perhaps the best Michael has ever released. Whether you own all his albums or are just looking for that one good compelation, this double disc set should be on your shopping list.
