Stop, look, and listen very carefully. This album is not what you think it is. This is not a new Chemical Brothers album. Let us rephrase that, this is not an album containing new compositions by the Chemical Brothers. 'Brothers' is a "DJ mix album by the Chemical Brothers." Including tracks from everywhere including their own vaults, this album features songs from around the globe. Willie Hutch, Meat Beat Manifesto, Spiritualized and many others can be found here weaved into a mix by the brothers Chemical.

The good thing about this album is that we don't have to say how much we dislike a new Chemical Brothers album, the bad thing about this album is that we're not sure what reason there is to own it. It seems like another one of those tastelessly inspired record company suggestions. Hopefully, if we endure this we can miss out on a half-hearted new Chemical Brothers album slapped together for the sake of expediency and striking while the iron is hot. Feel free to give this disc a listen, just don't say we ever told you to buy it.
