Miller & Kreisel Sound Corporation (M&K) has introduced the K-4 Tripole™ Surround Speaker, the company's most affordable and most compact Tripole speaker, designed to be used either as part of the company's popular K Series or with any other system configuration.

Measuring only 7 3/8 inch H x 6 inch W x 6 3/8 inch D, the K-4 ($450/pair) incorporates all of the advanced technology of M&K's proprietary Tripole design, including a full M&K Phase-Focused crossover.

The Tripole design, now found on five M&K speaker models, gives listeners virtually anywhere in the room superior imaging and sound quality. In addition to its special new 2.5 inch dipole drivers, the K-4 utilizes the same 1 inch Neodymium tweeter and 4 inch woofer as the K-5 and K-7 in the series, assuring an ideal timbre match when used in with other K system components.

The K-4 represents the newest addition to M&K's K-Series introduced last fall. In addition to the K-4, there are two satellite speaker models suitable for front, center or surround channels (K-5 and K-7) and a powered subwoofer (K-9) in the line, allowing for flexible system configurations to satisfy multiple size, performance, and budget requirements.

What makes this line especially unequaled is that, unlike many other small speakers on the market today which are barely adequate to render movie sound tracks, the K Series, like all M&K systems, was developed with a primary focus on producing music with unerring accuracy. M&K has been designing speaker systems for music since 1974, and this attention to music reproduction has become especially important with the advent of DVD Audio and other 5.1 channel music recordings.
