MartinLogan
has just announced their new Mosaic floor standing loudspeaker. Mosaic
uses a new woofer and cabinet based on their Clarity Series and acts as
a stereo main, home theater main or effects channel in many room sizes
and configurations. The Mosaic has toolless binding posts for cable
attachment and management.
Mosaic uses the Vojtko™ crossover and the same motor, cone and chassis structure as the Clarity. According to MartinLogan, Mosaic’s 8 inch, high-resolution woofer delivers low-end with incredible accuracy.
Mosaic’s cabinet consists of multiple laminates sonically welded together. The curved wood cabinet combines high performance and a decorative element to the décor of any home theater environment. It is available in three cabinet finishes, natural cherry, dark mahogany and black.
The Mosaic starts shipping in July at a retail price of $2,000 a pair.
