MP3.com Inc. has just entered a two-year marketing and promotion pact as well as a three-year video-license agreement with Time Warner Inc.’s Warner Music Group. With record labels such as Atlantic, Elektra and Warner Bros. Records now on their team, MP3.com will be able to offer recordings and music videos from Warner Music Group’s vast roster of artists on the web site.

"MP3.com is thrilled to be able to feature selected songs and videos from many of Warner Music's top artists," said Robin Richards, president and chief operating officer of MP3.com.

Under this new marketing and promotion deal, MP3.com can create artist web pages and send targeted bulk emails to their network of 11 million plus registered users to promote selected Warner Music artists. "MP3.com's online reach will help promote Warner Music artists in the coming years," said Paul Vidich, executive vice president, strategic planning and business development for Warner Music Group.

The financial terms of the deal were not released.

This news comes on the heels of a copyright-infringement complaint filed by several independent record label partners against MP3.com and its My.MP3.com streaming service. The complaint was filed in the federal District Court for the Southern District of New York, this past Tuesday. Just recently MP3.com struck a deal with all five major labels to end their copyright suit against the company and announced it would relaunch its My.MP3.com service with both paid and free versions.
