Inks Deal With Warner Music Group

Friday, 22 December 2000 Inc. has just entered a two-year marketing and promotion pact as well as a three-year video-license agreement with Time Warner Inc.’s Warner Music Group. With record labels such as Atlantic, Elektra and Warner Bros. Under this new marketing and promotion deal, can create artist web pages and send targeted bulk emails to their network of 11 million plus registered users to promote selected Warner Music artists. The financial terms of the deal were not released.

This news comes on the heels of a copyright-infringement complaint filed by several independent record label partners against and its streaming service. The complaint was filed in the federal District Court for the Southern District of New York, this past Tuesday. Just recently struck a deal with all five major labels to end their copyright suit against the company and announced it would relaunch its service with both paid and free versions.
