AudioRevolution.com has officially changed its name to Audio Video Revolution (AVR) on the day the publication turned eight years old. Readers will still be able to read the audio-video enthusiast online publication for free and AVR will continue to mail its weekly newsletter to its opt-in list of over nearly 150,000 subscribers each Friday.

Audio Video Revolution will promote a more simple, five letter URL, AVrev.com for its users. All other URLs including AudioRevolution.com will link to the main page of Audio Video Revolution.

“We have been a home theater and multi-channel audio based publication for years” says AVR publisher, Jerry Del Colliano. “With the sales of DTV driving the industry, it was time to update our publications name to reflect the content on our pages. We want our readers to know we will be reviewing the best plasmas, LCDs, digital projectors and video technology along with the best in high-end multi channel audio.”

Audio Video Revolution is the second largest publication in the world with 247,000 audited monthly readers (source: IM Services Group audit 1/2004). AVR’s sister publication, RevolutionHomeTheater.com features 360 virtual tour access to the world’s finest and most creative home theater systems.
