Classé has added a DVD player to its Delta Series of audio-video components. The CDP-300 is compatible with a number of formats, it plays standard DVDs and CDs as well as DVD-Audio, DualDisc, discs encoded with MP3, WMA or AAC audio, Video-CD, S-VCD and JPEG picture discs. Classé says the CDP-300 fits in stylistically with the rest of the Delta series, pointing out it is the first DVD player to offer touchscreen control and video preview on the front panel, allowing users to listen to music without having any projector-noise distractions.

All audio is decoded internally before being converted to analog. Digital sources are recreated as 24-bit/192kHz in order to reduce time base distortion. There are three stereo DACs with 8x filters that convert the signal into six channels of analog audio with RCA connections.

Classé says the CDP-300 is the first DVD player to playback all HDTV resolutions. Digital video on HDMI is available at 480i, 480p, 576i, 576p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p to make the most of the latest high-resolution displays. The player’s digital processing reduces video noise to deliver clear, sharp, compelling images. The CDP-300 is built with the latest technologies in mind that allow users to enjoy crisp sound high-resolution video. The player is available now at a $6,500 MSRP.
