The X-Mask2 series from Screen Research was designed to replace the old X-Mask range, and offers new designs that should help benefit not only the end user, but the installer as well. For starters, is looks great. It's got a flush housing SlimFrame design with a velour frame that Zap Brannigan would kill for. It's nice and compact, and shouldn't impact viewing.
Screen Research has reduced the distance between the masks, the frame and the projection surface, which helps to eliminate shadows on the projection surface. They've also integrated a new Motor Control System that offers 8 presets so you can simply set up for the aspect ratio of your choice. "This Reference X-Mask2 series is definitely a major improvement," says Yves Trelohan, founder of Screen Research. "This product includes all the newest features and options required for the perfect answer to more demanding High-End Home Theater applications." |
