YouTube, a Google-owned website, has entered into agreement with MGM to offer full-length movies and television shows on their website. MGM will start the partnership by offering episodes of the original "American Gladiators."
Other YoutTube channels will have films like "Bulletproof Monk," "The Magnificent Seven" and clips from "Legally Blonde." The videos are free to watch, with the ads running alongside the video. YouTube formed a similar partnership last month with CBS to offer television shows such as "Star Trek," "Young and the Restless," and "Beverly Hills 90210." YouTube is also experimenting with programs from Time Warner's HBO and CBS's Showtime networks. |
