You may see Nintendo's new system touted as revolutionary for its unique control schemes, but it’s the home theater connectivity that's particularly interesting. The Wii U is the first console that's able to play nice with a vast majority of your video content.
The Wii U, which launches at $299 when it hits US shores on November 19th, will be able to stream content from your DVR, whether recorded or live via a program called TVii. The tablet-like Game Pad controller will be used as a touchscreen remote and will allow you to search across your DVR, Netflix, Hulu and Amazon all at once. If only it handled Blu-ray, we'd be set. Perhaps this is something we can expect to see in Microsoft or Sony's next consoles.
