The iPhone and Netflix Instant Streaming are two pieces of tech that came into popularity at nearly the same time, but for one reason or another they just haven't gotten together – until now. As of today, the Netflix app is finally available for your iPhone or iPod Touch.
You're not going to find a ton of surprises here. Netflix on the iPhone works a lot like it does on other devices. You can browse your queue, add titles and watch them right on your phone. Early rumors about Netflix on the iPhone stated that 3G streaming would be out of the picture, but it looks like that's not the case. You can stream whether you're connected via WiFi or over a 3G network, though obviously your performance won't be as good with a slower connection.
The app can be downloaded now for free on any iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 3.13 or later. Though the app is free, keep in mind that you'll still need a Netflix subscription to use it.
