Sure, it's a niche, but if you're a sports fan with a 3D television and a Comcast subscription, then June 11th is the day you've been waiting for. That's the day that ESPN 3D will go live to Comcast subscribers. I'm not a huge soccer fan, and honestly, I don't know anyone that is. It's a great sport, I'm sure, but the hype surrounding the FIFA World Cup baffles me. Still, the June 11th date was picked for that very reason.
ESPN will carry upwards of 25 games from the World Cup, which will start on the very first day the channel is on the air. But if you're not a soccer fan, don’t worry, ESPN 3D still has you covered. You'll get to watch college football in 3D, and the same goes for NBA basketball. You'll get the BCS Championship and the Old Spice Classic. At the end of July, you'll even get the X Games, which should be great to watch in 3D. |
