Amazon VOD Offering HD Content

Amazon has officially announced “Instant HD” videos on its online streaming service.  Users can now watch a selection of over 500 HD movies and TV shows available on Amazon.com. HD movies are selling for $3.99 to $4.99, while an episode of an HD TV shows is selling for $2.99. 


Selections are available from Sony, Paramount, Warner Bros., Showtime, MGM and Universal studios.  The streaming video from Amazon.com can be watched on either PC or Mac, as well as TiVo services, Roku systems, certain Sony Bravia devices, and Vierra Cast TVs from Panasonic.

Great, $5 to watch and they can only provide 2 channel Dolby. And this is 2nd
rate HD picture at best. Isn't that special!
