Vudu is expanding on its RIA, or Rich Internet Application, platform by announcing the inclusion of Pandora – a popular online music provider. Pandora joins Picasa, Flickr and other applications that Vudu has incorporated into its set top box service.
Vudu users can set up Pandora through the box, and modify it at a desktop. They can use Pandora to play a radio station based on a mood, a genre, a song or an artist. These playlists are seemingly infinite, and Pandora allows users to set up multiple accounts, so that everyone can have their own personalized music experience. Vudu has recently cut the price of its set top box down to $149.
