VidaBox officially announced the Rack Clientv3 today, a Blu-ray media extender designed for multi-zone Blu-ray streaming. You can use the new Rack Clientv3 with any VidaBox media center or server. With a single CAT cable, you can stream music, pictures, and most importantly movies in lossless 1080p and with 7.1 channel surround sound.
The Rack Clientv3 includes HDMI1.3 support, and will be upgradeable to offer 3D compatibility in the future, though an exact date hasn't been set. On the plus side, that means you won't have to worry about buying a new unit if you decide to make the leap to 3D. "Best of all - the RackClientv3 will be fully compatible with our new iPad controls," says VidaBox president Steven Cheung. "No other media server manufacturer provides such a complete line of comprehensive offerings." The RackClientv3 is available now from all authorized VidaBox dealers.
