Hulu May Drop the Price of Hulu Plus  Print E-mail

Hulu Plus began with so much possibility, but ended up being disappointing at best.  The service hasn't officially launched yet, but subscribers of the preview program don't seem to be getting what they expected and are starting to drop off.

In response to the negative reception of Hulu Plus, the company may be dropping subscription pricing from $9.95 to $4.95 a month.  That puts Hulu Plus at a cheaper price-point than Netflix , which offers significantly more in the way of content and many more ways to access it.

The price drop is still a rumor at this point, but it seems incredibly likely considering the lukewarm reactions to the service, especially since the service is currently available on so few devices.  Hulu, as you might expect, has declined to comment.
