Going to the movies can be a downright unpleasant experience. People talk and text through the movie, the food is dreadful and the audio and video can end up being sub-par depending on where you go.
The new premium video on demand titles coming from Fox later this year are a nice touch for those that want the theatrical experience at home. The studio will be making titles available on demand just 60 days after their theatrical release. If you've got a great home theater and you don't mind waiting two months to watch a movie, this could be a great way to go. Films are expected to cost between $25 and $50 for a rental which certainly isn't cheap, but is comparable to a night out at the movies. Fox has not yet revealed what their first premium title will be, but we'll certainly find out when the PremiumVODs launch in June. |
