The Osprey dual-format projection screen hit the market yesterday from Elite Screens, Inc.  It is capable of displaying 2.35:1 Cinemascope or 16:9 HDTV images depending on the input format.  This will allow customers who have a projector with dual-mode stretch functionality to incorporate two formats into a single device.

The projector screen’s lens memory will retain a centered image while the projector reorients itself from one format to the other.  A full control package comes at no extra charge along with the screen, a perk that most other companies will charge extra for. lite Screens, Inc. is now shipping the Osprey Dual, available in three standard sizes with custom sizes available upon request, starting at $1,999.
