Following four years of research and development, Paradigm has unveiled the Seismic Subwoofer series. Joining Paradigm's award-winning Servo-15 reference subwoofer in the company's high-end Paradigm Reference collection including, the Seismic 10 and the Seismic 12, are redefining the concept of high-end performance in a compact lifestyle subwoofer design according to Paradigm.
Beneath the exterior of the Seismics lie examples of the company's award-winning Paradigm Reference technology: powerful 10 and 12 inch high-excursion co-polymer polypropylene bass drivers; high-pressure die-cast aluminum chassis; the company's proprietary AVS Airflow Ventilation Cooling System; and powerful computer-optimized magnet/motor structures. The proprietary Ultra-Class-D amplifier is capable of delivering 1200 Watts RMS (FTC rated) and 4500 Watts of peak power.
Low-frequency extension in the Seismic 12 is 17 Hz and 21 Hz in the Seismic 10. Auto On/Off eliminates the need for a manually operated power switch and Trigger On/Off allows the subwoofer's power On/Off to be controlled by components that have trigger outputs. Subwoofer Level Control, Subwoofer Cut-Off and Phase Alignment controls allow you to fine-tune your sub to match the rest of your system. There's even an adjustable bass contour to suit your personal listening preferences when it comes to amount of bass "impact" you want when watching movies. Low-level input facilities allow for RCA or Balanced XLR connections.
The Seismic Series is available in Black Ash with Gloss Top. The Seismic 10 FMV is $1,350.00 (US) and Seismic 12 is $1,700.00 (US).
