Yamaha's new soundbar utilizes 16 individual speaker beam drivers, each of which has its own digital amplifier. These speakers, combined with Yamaha's tech, are capable of simulating seven channels of surround sound. There's a ".1" too, provided by a compact 100 watt woofer that can be placed horizontally or vertically.
"Most consumers want the benefits of 7.1 surround sound, but don't want to compromise the look of their living room," says Yamaha president Tom Sumner. "Yamaha's YSP-2200 technology allows for the enjoyment of surround sound without additional speakers, unsightly cables and stands."
The YSP-2000 stands 3.5 inches tall and features height adjustable feet in case it needs to be raised or lowered. It boasts four HDMI 1.4 inputs, one output, and an expansion port.
You can pick up the Yamaha YSP-2000 for $999.95.
