The Diamond 10 series has been a very good one for Wharfedale and the Jade series steps up the game. Yes, I know, diamonds are more valuable than jades, but shh. The Jade line consists of four stereo speakers - two floorstanding and two, well, not - two center channels, and a wall mountable speaker designed for use in surround channels.
Each of the speakers features a Crystalam cabinet. Never heard of Crystalam? It's a brand new material made by Wharfedale from wood and composites for optimal sound and limited leakage and vibration. Cones are made of Acufiber, another new material developed by Wharfedale. They're on a bit of a roll. They boast an Aperiodic Cabinet Loading system for better bass clarity and a crossover network that was developed using computer modeling systems, listening tests and what Wharfedale refers to as "advanced measurement techniques." The Jade series is shipping this month in Europe and a US release shouldn't be far behind. Wharfedale also has a PowerCube subwoofer line hitting a little later on.
