"Mission's ethos has always focused upon bringing audiophile performance down to an affordable level, and the MX Series exemplifies this," says Peter Comeau, the lead designer of the MX Series. "Months of fine- tuning through listening to a diverse range of music across multiple genres have allowed us to create, from each the MX loudspeakers, a vibrant and exciting insight into every musical performance." At the top of the MX range is the Mission MX 5, a three-way reflex floorstanding speaker. It sports three 165mm drivers, two of which supply the bass. It's got a frequency response as low as 40Hz and as high as 20kHz thanks to Mission's 25mm silk dome tweeter. You'll be able to pick the MX 5 up at around $900 a pair.
