KEF’s
newest addition to its KHT speaker series, the KHT 6000 ACE, is packed
with features and style. Satellite and center channel speakers use
KEF’s Uni-Q driver system that projects broad frequency ranges from a
single point, a configuration they say provides a wider dispersion that
ensures optimal sound quality throughout the room and crispness to all
forms of dialogue.
The ACE stands for Acoustic Compliance Enhancement, the proprietary
technology KEF uses to create a big bass sound from ultra-slim speakers
by making each cabinet enclosure respond as if it were much larger.
Their Selecta-mount system incorporated in the satellite and center
channel speakers also promises to correct for any variation in audio
response that occurs when a speaker is mounted on a wall instead of a
free-standing location. Contacts in the speaker’s back panel differ for
each type of mount, fine-tuning the speaker to sound best for its
position.
The KHT 6000 ACE packs these features in its sophisticated, ultra-slim
silver exterior designed to match the latest flat-screen plasma and LCD
displays. Its sleek design should prove easy to integrate into your
home theater decor. The system is compatible with 5.1, 6.1 and 7.1
configurations with each speaker retailing for $499.99.
