The folks at Theta Digital are adding firmware and hardware upgrade options for their Casablanca III controller. The new 12-Channel Digi-Out Card, available now at $1,995, supports AES/EBU at rates of 192kHz and 24-bits. It also allows the use of DACs, like the Generation VIII Series 3 from Theta.
The second update won't be coming until June, but it's a big one. It adds 12-channel post processing including DTS Neo:X and kicks the Casablanca III HD's bandwidth up to 192kHz. You'll also be able to use an included mic and mic preamp with the Dirac Live program to perfect the sound in your room. This update will run you $3,995. |
