"Following thorough research, no suitable partner was found for the acquisition of these activities," reads the official statement from Philips.  "As such, Philips confirms today that it will discontinue the Pronto product line and related activities."

This may come as a surprise to some, especially after the release of the TSW9500 – the company's first in-wall solution – just over a month ago.  There's no word yet from Philips on what existing Pronto owners and Pronto installers can expect.
