Cary Audio is a company with a reputation for high-end audio solutions and the new Cinema 12 is exactly the kind of product you'd expect from them. It's a preamplifier processor made for people that look for the most out of their home theater gear. The Cinema 12 offers four HDMI 1.4 inputs to allow for compatibility with more home theater devices. It handles most 3D formats and everything else that comes along with HDMI 1.4 like the audio return channel, Ethernet channel and CEC power on/off. In addition to the HDMI ins, the Cinema 12 offers RCA, XLR and TOSLINK inputs. Cary's new processor can decode modern formats like Dolby True HD, DTS-HD Master Audio, and DTS-HD High Resolution audio, playing back the raw bitstream or lossless PCM signals. The new Cinema 12 ships this month at a price of $4,995. |
