This week’s EHX Spring will see the unveiling of Audio Design Associates’ new Suite 7.1 HD home theater decoder/preamp. It will hit markets in 2009’s second quarter at a suggested retail price of $5,499. This unit is only 1.75 inches high, so it's designed to fit into home theater equipment racks. Connected components can be remotely controlled if hooked up to your home network.
The back panel of the Suite 7.1 features eight HDMI inputs/mirror outputs neatly lined up in a row, to enable any configuration and connections that you can think of. Also included are 4 analogue audio inputs, 2 Toslink digital audio outputs, 6 coax inputs, 7.1 channel outputs, an Ethernet port, and an ADA BUS data port for connection with ADA’s multiroom system. The Suite 7.1 can decode HD audio including Dolby TrueHD & Digital Plus, DTS-HD Master & High Resolution audio, and multichannel PCM audio. |
