Rotel has a reputation for high quality products by consumers and installers alike, and offer a high amount of quality at generally affordable prices. After requests from their dealers though, they set out with a new goal in mind for the RMB-1512. Lighter and cooler than past models by far, according to Rotel, the 1512 can put out no less than 100 watts at 9 ohms across 12 channels. At a 4 ohm load, that number doubles.
Packed into a slim 3U chassis, the RMB-1512 has everything needed for remote operation including 12-volt signal sensing, input bussing, sum-to-mono, buffered link output, and front panel attenuation. “Our dealers have been requesting a high powered, audiophile-grade, 12-channel custom installation amplifier built on our proven Class D amplifier technology,” said Doug Henderson, VP of sales and marketing at Rotel. “They're tired of struggling with heavy, hot running conventional distribution amps.”
The RMB-1512 will be available in any color you want (as long as it’s black) this month at a suggested $2,799.
