As usual the MC601 has a backlit glass faceplate.  The wattmeter is now 8-inches wide and is complemented by blue LED lighting.  This is the same size used by McIntosh's MC1000.  The MC601 incorporates Sentry Monitor which provides continuous short circuit protection.

The MC601 has a power rating of 600 watts with a THD of 0.005% from 250 mwatts to 600 watts.  The unit also includes newly designed speaker binding posts and Quad Balanced circuit design.  Multiple MC601s may be used for bi and tri-amping.

The unit will be available later in January 2011 but no price has been announced.
