The folks over at Emotiva have revealed a trio of new audio amplifiers, including two made for those with a smaller budgets. The UPA-200 and UPA-500 come in at $350 and $399 respectively. The 200 is a two channel amp made to be paired up with an existing 5.1 channel amp for those that want to expand to 7.1 sound. The UPA-500 gives you five channels and includes a toroidal transformer, flat frequency response and a low distortion rate. The XPR-5 is a much more impressive piece of equipment, supplying five channels with 400 watts per. Each channel has its own Class AB power amplifier behind it and the whole thing is powered by a Class H toroidal supply. The XPR-5 comes in at $1,999.
