The Evolution 5350 amplifier was announced by Creek at the Munich High End Show this past week. It will sell for $1,600, and features 2 x 200 Watts of power, a compact, high-frequency switching power supply and a bipolar modular power amp. It includes five inputs and the ability to connect to an A/V receiver using the bypass setting.
Alongside this launch will be the company’s phono preamp, the Wyndsor, which will sell for about $1,400 when it is released this September. It will center around a display panel from which the consumer can select cartridge type, loading, gain and capacitance for moving magnet and moving coil cartridges. The inputs and outputs can be both balanced and single ended, and separate right and left circuitboards are included.
