Amplifier Technologies, Incorporated [ATI], is introducing five new models with 20 configurations to its line of US designed and US built multi-channel power amplifiers: AT3000 series, AT2000 series, AT1800 series, AT1202 and AT602. Designed specifically for the custom installer, these amplifiers offer features that enhance performance, sound quality and reliability.
ATI’s “Pure Balance”® technology introduces a range of models that feature true differential design; balanced from input to output. This design allows the quietest and purest reproduction of the audio signal. Power output is 300WRMS/ channel into 8 Ohms from 20Hz to 20kHz with no more than 0.03% THD and I.M. distortion. The AT3000 is available in 2 to 7 channel configurations and is upgradeable by adding 300W power modules. Each model comes standard with 2 massive toroidal transformers with quick connect plugs. MSRPs range from $1995 for the AT3002, 2-channel version to $3995 for the AT3007, 7-channel model. Additional modules are $400.00. See below for additional features common to all ATI models.
The AT2000 “Pure Balance”® series feature ALL the same design elements of the AT3000 except that the power output is 200WRMS/channel into 8 Ohms. Configurations are available from 2 to 7 channels with MSRPs beginning at $1495.00 for the AT2002 to $2995 for the AT2007. Additional modules are available for $300.00. The AT1800 series is the direct outgrowth of the award winning AT1505 5-channel amplifier that led the home theater industry in audiophile-grade sound and performance at a value price. The AT1800 is available in 6 configurations from the AT1802 2-channel model to the AT1807 7-channel version. Power is 180WRMS/channel into 8 Ohms from 20Hz to 20kHz with no more than 0.03% THD and I.M. distortion. Each model comes equipped with two toroidal transformers making upgradeability easy via the addition of a plug-in module. Other features making it installer-friendly are: a detachable IEC power cord, optically coupled protection circuits, soft-start circuit and convection cooling eliminating the need for fans. MSRPs range from an incredible $995 for the AT1802 to $1995 for the AT1807. Additional modules are $200. See below for additional features common to all ATI models.
The AT1202 is a 2-channel power amplifier that combines rugged design attributes with audiophile-grade performance. The AT1202 delivers 120WRMS into 8 Ohms from 20Hz to 20kHz with no more than 0.03% THD and I.M. distortion with both channels driven. Of significant importance to the custom installer is the AT1202’s stability with complex capacitive and reactive loads. Most notably, the AT1202 is designed with clip limiters that will prevent damage to speakers and in-room volume controls due to over-driven situations. Gain controls are provided for each channel. The AT1202 has an MSRP of $695.
The AT602 is identical in every respect to the AT1202 except that power output is 60WRMS/channel. This rugged workhorse will feel equally comfortable in home audio uses as well as commercial applications. MSRP is $495.00. See below for additional features common to all ATI models.
Remote Trigger: Activated from 3.3VDC to 24 VDC via a heavy-duty relay.
Protection Circuits: Optically –coupled with full automatic reset.
Toroid Transformers: 40% more efficient than EI type. Separate bi-filar windings for each channel guaranty lower noise and crosstalk.
Circuit Boards: Double-sided, FR-4 glass-epoxy, computer-grade boards are assembled in-house.
Soft Start Circuitry: Ultra soft turn on reduces in-rush current to a minimum. Multiple units can be turned on without tripping circuit breakers eliminating the need for sequencing.
Power Transistors: High-current, bi-polar output transistors with active bias circuits result in effortless operation.
Power Cord: Detachable, 3-wire cord.
7-Year Warranty: Parts and labor against defects in parts or workmanship.
