Where they differ is in video enhancement features. The 8000 series features Real Black Filter, which is designed to create deeper blacks, while the 7000s do not. The 8000s also have the advantage of Samsung's Motion Judder Canceller.
There's also a price difference. The 7000 line starts at an MSRP of $1,999 ($1650 right now on Amazon) for the 50 inch set and goes up to $3,499 for the 63 inch version. The 8000s run a bit more, with the 50 inch going for $2,299 and the 63 inch selling for $3,799.
