Paradigm
Electronics Inc. recently unveiled the on-wall version of its Monitor
Series. The newest on-wall Monitor Series combines high-end design
technology with an affordable price.
The new generation on-wall speakers are great for wall-mounted Plasma and LCD TVs. On-wall speakers are a good alternative where retrofitting an in-wall speaker just isn't possible, and with the proliferation of "hang 'em on the wall" flat panel TVs, on-walls are a high-tech design solution. For the condo or apartment resident, the on-wall Monitor Series frees up floor space, allowing consumers to enjoy home-theater sound quality in a minimal space. These on-walls feature all of the technological advances found in the third-generation Monitor Series. The Controlled WaveGuide™ chassis design represents trickle-down technology from the company’s extremely successful Paradigm® Reference Studio Series. The proprietary WaveGuide™ technology promotes wide dispersion and maximally flat response across a very large listening window. The 1” PTD™ pure-titanium dome tweeter was stiffened in the new Monitor series without increasing mass, thereby improving the sound quality, in particular, the clarity of upper harmonics. Bass/midrange drivers feature ICP™ injection-molded co-polymer cones with newly designed motor structures, bullet-shaped dustcaps and larger magnets for more openness and detail, along with greater midrange clarity, expanded definition, clearer response in the low frequencies, and greater sensitivity and power handling. The new on-wall Monitor series is composed of the OW-Mini Monitor (bookshelf), the OW-Monitor 5 (bookshelf) and the OW-CC-370 (center channel). The speakers retail in the U.S. at $379 per pair, $569 per pair and $369 each. |
