The Beatles’ entire CD collection will be remastered and is set to be released September 9th. For a limited time after release, the CDs will include a documentary short about each album. Most of the Beatles catalogue has not been remastered since it was copied on to CD format in 1987. Fans are still clamoring for digital copies of the remastered songs to be easily available for download, but no word yet on when or if this is coming, although Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono have released separate statements indicating that it is part of the plan for the future of the Beatles catalogue. The remastered CD set will include fourteen discs: all twelve of the Beatles original albums, "Past Masters Vol. I and II” combined into one disc, as well as "Magical Mystery Tour.” This set can also be purchased in stereo. No pricing information is available for the individual discs or the set as of yet. Also on September 9th, the Beatles “Rock Band” debut is set to go live. Like this article?
