As the phone has been in the hands of Google employees throughout December, the screen quality is described as being more vibrant and having deeper blacks than either the iPhone 3GS or the Verizon Droid. The Nexus One sports a 3.7-inch OLED touchscreen and is slightly thinner than the 3GS.
The Nexus One comes with a 4GB microSD card for media storage, audio and video files. It takes up to a 32GB card for those traveling with a large amount of media.
DoubleTwist, makers of the open-software platform for loading music onto your smartphone, have already launched support for the Nexus One weeks before next week's announcement. They also integrated Amazon's MP3 music store into the software to compete with Apple's closed iTunes platform.
